Tudor Primary School

Our School

 Welcome to Tudor Primary School

Our vision:

Enabling Dreams, Inspiring Minds, Building Futures

Our mission statement:

Together we create a happy and caring community where all our children love to learn and want to achieve

I am keen to ensure that our website gives you an insight into Tudor Primary and the fun, energy, excitement and enjoyment that permeates our school.

'Pupils are proud to be part of team Tudor. They love coming to school and are enthusiastic about learning.' (Ofsted, December 2022)

Our successful school is a very special place and I am very excited at how Tudor will continue to evolve so that we can meet the needs of our school community.

'This is an inclusive school where everyone is valued. All pupils, including the most disadvantaged and those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), have access to a wide range of exciting experiences.' (Ofsted, December 2022)

As well as tremendous feedback from county advisors, our Ofsted report shares the high quality learning experiences that our children enjoy EVERY day. As the report states:

'Leaders are tenacious in their drive to ensure disadvantaged pupils achieve well. All pupils enjoy a range of enriching trips and visits.' (Ofsted, December 2022)

'There is a culture of aspiration in the school. Adults set high expectations and pupils try hard to meet them. A Year 6 pupil said, ‘You always want to be at your highest level.’(Ofsted, December 2022)

At Tudor we have a very clear vision of what we want the school to be. Communication is key to sharing this 'journey' and the leaders of our school would recommend that you look at the newsletters and website so that you can understand just how successful Tudor is- socially and academically.

Innovation in teaching as well as a high quality and safe school environment is vital to ensure pupils (and staff) flourish.

Leaders make regular checks on the delivery of the curriculum and pupils’ learning. They deliver training in staff meetings to support teachers.' (Ofsted, December 2022)

We offer an exciting and stimulating environment where children are encouraged to become independent. We believe that all children have the right to a broad and balanced curriculum, which meets their individual needs and 'prepares them well for life in modern Britain.' We have a committed staff team and we welcome children from all backgrounds and capabilities, involving them fully in the life of the school.

'Leaders foster positive relationships with parents and staff. Staff feel valued. They say leaders are conscious of their workload and support their well-being.' (Ofsted, December 2022)

We aim to work in partnership with our parents to ensure that each child in our care can achieve their full potential in all areas of their development.

We will do all that we can to ensure that your child will be happy and make good progress at Tudor Primary School and that there are many opportunities for you to share in the life and learning of the school.

'Pupils’ behaviour and attitudes to learning are excellent. Pupils and adults have strong relationships, rooted in mutual respect.'  (Ofsted, December 2022)

At Tudor Primary School, we aim to work in partnership with parents to achieve the following for each child:

  • to provide a high quality education for each child in our care.
  • to provide an exciting, creative and stimulating curriculum and learning environment.
  • to encourage children to develop an awareness and respect for other people’s needs and rights and concern for the world we live in
  • to develop habits of self-discipline and good behaviour.
  • to encourage and motivate children so they develop self-confidence and take pride and pleasure in their achievements.
  • to provide a safe, secure and welcoming school for children, parents, staff and visitors.

As a staff team we achieve this by:

  • valuing all children and knowing each child well.
  • believing that what we do makes a difference to each child’s life chances.
  • having consistently high expectations of children and one another.
  • caring and showing it.

Tudor School is committed to the protection and safety of its pupils. Enhanced DBS checks are carried out on all our staff. We also offer a pre-school facility, for children aged 2 years up to nursery.

Leaders responsible for safeguarding are meticulous in their record-keeping. They have established a culture of vigilance around safeguarding, and all staff know what to do if they are concerned about a pupil. Staff know pupils well. Pupils speak confidently about ways of keeping themselves safe. They know what to do if they are worried about something. (Ofsted, December 2022)
