Autumn Term Theme – A Whole New World
Who were the Maya? Where did they come from? What amazing world did they create? What happened to them?
This term, we are going to go back in time to explore the world of the Maya. We will be delving into their culture, beliefs and customs throughout the curriculum.
Across the different subjects, we will investigate the following questions:
How did the Maya believe the world started?
What have the Maya contributed to our modern lives?
What famous Maya landmarks can you still see today?
Could a Maya farm work in the UK?
How did the Maya trade?
How did the Maya economic activity compare to ours?
What would it be like to live in the Amazon rainforest?
For more details about the learning, please have a look at the overview at the bottom of the page.
