Tudor Primary School

WHAT a week- and it is STILL NOT OVER!

We hope you have ALL had a super time...

UPDATE- follow this link for the Autumn 2020 recipients of the Tudor Headteacher Awards

It's 'Wear what you want day' on this final day of term and the fun shows no sign of stopping. Please come back to our website later so you can find out which lucky children have won the Autumn Term Headteacher Awards. It is not an exaggeration to say that EVERY child could have been nominated. As we all know, this term has been very different and it presented us all with so many challenges. Whilst all at #TeamTudor have been delighted with how we have responded collectively, there has obviously been less interaction with our parent community. Even though you have not been able to join in with the range of activities and opportunities we hope you have enjoyed hearing about what the children have been up to.

All the children were able to meet Santa Claus. A massive thank you must go to our new site manager (Mr Denny) who project-managed the transformation  of this nature reserve into a Magical Winter Wonderland and the home (for a few days) for Santa Claus and his elves. We hope all the children enjoy the gifts that they received.

There have also been class parties as well as the opportunity to watch an online interactive Pantomime. As headteacher, I also have to say that the children have all been positive and enthused about the activities in school and they have also remained keen to continue with their fun learning in class. There have been computing days as well as a high focus on D&T/ food technology. Fajitas have been made as part of our 'What a Wonderful World' theme and the children enjoyed making vegetable pot pies for the wartime theme of 'Is it Right to Fight?' in lower key stage 2. The aromas around the school during the week have certainly been enticing.

The children in Nursery and Reception completed their 'Gogglebox Christmas TV Special' this week and the result is awesome. They are clearly destined for a life ON screen. Parents in the EYFS must make time to view the results on tapestry- you are sure to laugh... and cry tears of joy!

I will update this page with further news (and surprises!) but can I also take this moment to thank the staff of Tudor Primary School. We have certainly tried to be creative this year to ensure that the children have been able to enjoy a super festive period. EVERY single member of staff continues to go above and beyond for your children- we are incredibly fortunate with the commitment and dedication they show each and every day. As headteacher, I am very aware how lucky I am to have this team and I know that they ALL deserve a restful holiday.

2020 has been the most bizarre, difficult, overwhelming, rewarding, challenging (I could go on!) year ever.

We should all feel very proud of how Tudor Primary and the Tudor community has worked together over the past 12 months.

But...first of all...here's another TREAT for you all...
