In our classroom, 5W, in science we looked at solar eclipses. A solar eclipse is when the moon takes its place in front of the sun during the day, which means that only a glimpse of light can escape from around the edges. Using dodge balls as the Earth and a smaller ball as the moon, we created a solar eclipse by shining a torch (the sun) on the Earth and lining the moon up perfectly. We found that on the Earth, whilst this happens, it goes very dark.
