Learning about place value in large numbers.
This Friday afternoon, we played a game called Crooked Rules. In pairs we each took it in turns to role a 9 sided dice and decide where on the place value table that number should go. The winner was the player with the end number that was closest to the number Miss McKenzie gave us. As a challenge, we then came up with our own winning criteria such as 'you can't repeat any digits in your number' (Anisia) or 'the winner is the player with the smallest 6 digit number' (Chloe).
