This Tuesday, year 3 had a school trip to Verulamium to visit the Roman Museum. We started off our day by walking down the the ruins of the Roman wall and town gate. Then we saw an old Roman Mosaic and the Hypocaust underneath it that would have kept the Romans warm. After that, we has a self-guided tour around the museum, looking at actual Roman skeletons! Finally, we had an artefact handling session where we were allowed to touch and hold real Roman artefacts!
