All in the name of learning!
Over the next couple of weeks we are looking at the story 'The lighthouse keepers lunch' in which the poor lighthouse keepers lunch keeps getting stolen by scavenging seagulls so Mrs Grinling (his wife) makes mustard sandwiches to keep them away!
A lot of the children didn't know what mustard tasted like so I decided to bring some in for the children to try if they wanted to... as you can see they now understand why the seagulls didn't enjoy them.
We are now going to imagine that the mustard sandwiches didn't work and come up with our own ideas to repell the seagulls.
