In Art, we have looked at Maya masks. As part of our learning, we researched the Maya masks. We identified they were used for three main reasons: death masks, celebration masks and war masks. We then explored the three different types of masks and identified the features for them. Then we were able to design our very own based on the existing masks. 

Next we practised using different clay techniques, which was very messy, but great fun! Then came the making! We did an AMAZING JOB! Have a look....

 

       

      

Next week, we are going to paint them, to make them look even more spectacular!
