This week in 3S, we were treated to some REAL LIFE items from the Second World War. 

Willow kindly shared some information about both her Great Grandad and Grandma, who had helped in the war effort. She also brought in the actual jacket that was worn by her Grandad when he was deployed to fight in France and Germany! It was interesting how heavy it was, and we thought it might be warm, but a bit itchy. Also, we thought about why it was the colour it was and how it is a bit different from the coats we see soldiers wearing outside places like Buckingham Palace.

As well as the jacket, we were also treated to a chance to see the medals that had been awarded too. A fantastic treat which we loved!
