D&T skills lesson - which 3D shape is the strongest?
This term we are learning about bridges and strengthening structures. This lesson, we used toothpicks and white-tac to build different 3D shapes. Then, we put a piece of card on top with 5 multi link cubes and observed to see how well it held the weight. We found that cubes were not very strong, cuboids were really really not very strong, and pyramids were the strongest!
