It's been a wonderfully creative and exciting week at Tudor this week. We have spent the week creating Egyptian masks out of clay. We began by exploring lots of examples of the Egyptian masks and also researching different sculptors. 

Also, on the Monday, the children had a workshop with a land artist. She taught them about working only with natural materials that have already fallen on the floor and they use clay to create sculptures that they left in the nature garden.

The children then created their own designs. They then had some sessions to practise the different techniques that they would need to put together their design, including working with clay and experimenting mixing different paint colours.

Finally, the children created their final piece and a wonderful job with it! Take a look at some of our examples.
