Whilst we were clipping the herbs in the garden, we discovered a very tiny and very friendly snail. We really wanted to keep him, so we made him a home outside. We used the internet and books to find out what snails like to eat and where they like to live. We chose a box and filled it with lots of plants and herbs. We knew he would like it because it is dark. 

Our house has a path, and we gave him a bus just incase he wanted to play. We made signs so that other people knew not to touch him. 

We were very surprised because Fred was quick! As he was moving around, he left a trail on our hands.
