    In 1O this week we became the artist Paul Klee! We used a section of a piece of his art work and used our pencils to continue the lines to create shapes and then used the oil pastels to colour it. We think we have some budding artists in our class!

    This week we have continued to explore numbers in year 1. We have been using part whole models to regroup numbers, making cube towers and representing numbers in different ways. We have been working so hard in maths recently and Miss Gamble and Miss Foy have been super impressed with our work!

  • Wonderful weaving

    In art this half term we have been learning all things weaving! We have looked at colours, tints and tones, and had a go at our very own weaving. We could choose to do paper, wool or fabric weaving. Some of us even did a more tricky 'step pattern' when paper weaving! We worked so hard on our final pieces and Miss Gamble was SO impressed with the work we created!

  • Fantastic fanfare!

    Last week, years 1 and 2 had a visit from some of Hemel Hempstead bands brass section. They played us lots of songs, and showed us all the different sounds that the instruments made. We loved listening to the music, and had great fun clapping along! We were so grateful to Hemel Hempstead band for coming along to Tudor School!

  • Colour mixing

    1O recently planted some seeds in our outdoor area and the children are so excited to see that they have started to grow! We have been looking after them carefully by watering them every day and we are so excited to try some of our home grown lettuce!
