Our next school newsletter will be released tomorrow but I thought it would be appropriate to share my thoughts today in regard to the first ever 'Singing Spectacular' that was held on the playground yesterday. 

The possibilities to provide performances in our hall for key stage 2 are no longer viable due to the increase in our pupil numbers. 200 children with 2 tickets per family each highlights how difficult it is to provide something that the children (and audience) will enjoy!

It must be said that the sun was shining on us in more ways than one when the children performed yesterday. 10 songs were shared with the audience who were clearly 'bouncing' along in enjoyment. The sound system proved a super idea too. The children were also treated to a surprose staff song- I would like to say that we all enjoyed singing to you but it was hard to be heard over the 'deep bass tones' of Mr Gayle- who knew he had such a fine pair of lungs!

Seriously speaking, the children performed really well and the concert was a clear success- the comments afterwards highlighted that the parents also enjoyed what was on offer.

Following the concert, Mrs Sutton-Muldoon supported her fantastic musicians so that they could perform a medley of festive favourites in the hall- what a tremendously talented bunch they were too!

A big thank you to Viv Hamer and her band of FOT helpers who provided a range of hot and cold refreshments in our dining hall.

To conclude, the evening of Wednesday 14th December proved why Tudor Primary operates successfully. From the youngest child performing, to the oldest member of the audience, the community came together to enjoy  an event that shared so much happiness at this special time of year.

...and the sun was shining!
