Today's work and challenges.
Happy Friday Year 2!
Yes, it's incredible. We have now reached the end of our second week of home learning. Where did that time go? Here are today's tasks and challenges.
English - p.22-23 In the Year 2 book, this is all about joining/linking words. In school, we call these conjunctions. If you want an extra challenge, you could try to write some of your own sentences using the conjunctions from your CGP book. If you have the Year 1 book then it gives you a chance to work on writing super sentences remembering a capital letter, full stop and finger spaces.
Maths p.22-23 In the Year 2 book this is all about money and finding out how much things cost. You could take this one step further by counting out and finding the total of real amounts of money at home. You could even set up your own pretend shop. The Year 1 book looks at multiplying and dividing which is just what we were looking at in our last school Maths lessons.
Reading Challenge (which can be found at the bottom of this page)
This is the last challenge linked to the texts that you read on Monday. Choose from two wordsearches or a desert survival challenge.
Extra Challenge
We've now come to the end of our 'Field to Fork' theme. Your challenge today is to design a front cover for all of your 'Field to Fork' work, including your home learning. This should include the words 'Field to Fork' , which you can write any way you like (e.g. fancy pens, bubble writing etc). You can draw pictures of anything at all that was part of our theme this term. Think back to all of the learning that we did in school, including our school trip, for some inspiration. We look forward to seeing what you come up with and will hopefully have lots of great work to choose from again when it comes to putting today's highlights on the blog.
Have a great day,
Miss Scott and Miss Cosby :)
