Whilst finding out about the Romans in Britain, we are also looking at what life was like in the Empire as a whole. In DT we have been asked by Maximus to design a new shield for him. Maximus is a gladiator (not the type who are on the TV on Saturday nights) and needs a shield that protects him as well as being light enough to hold with one hand.

This week we have looked at how we could best attach the handle. We looked at different methods and decided which we thought was the strongest.
