A technological week in Year 3!

English this week has been linked with our current topic, learning more about the different jobs adults and young children had during the Second World War. We have researched and written sentences, including using conjunctions and different sentence openers, about the jobs on the Home Front: ARP Warden, Land Army and Home Guards.

We were SUPER lucky today to write our independent writing on CHROMEBOOKS!!! We used Google slides to type our Non-Chronicological Reports about the Home Front. We hope it won't be the last time we type it, it was so much fun!

During Science this week, we investigated using forces and friction. We had to predict which surface (carpet, sandpaper, wood) would allow our spinner top to spin for the longest. In our predictions, we linked our ideas to a previous experiment, acting like a TRUE scientist! We used ipads to time our results and recorded them in tables. From this, we were able to conclude an answer. Which surface do you think allowed the spinner top to spin the most???

Finally, this week in PE has been FREEZING!!! Whilst we have been outdoors, we are also very lucky to have the hall once a week too. We have been focusing on striking a cricket ball accurately and also for distance. Here is an example!
