We looked closely at different pieces of fruit and found out that they were made up of lots of different colours.  We also discovered that each colour comes in lots of different tones.  In our sketchbooks, we explored how to make different tones of the same colour using watercolour paints.  We then tried out our new skills by painting some of the fruit, including different colours and tones.
