This week, year 4 have been focusing on poems in their English lessons. 
They started by exploring imagery features (similes, metaphors & personification)

They then moved on to reading a well known wartime poem, called Flanders Field. They explored the features and picked out certain lines from the stanzas and focused on the imagery those certain lines portrayed. 
 

Finally, they wrote their own wartime poems in the style of Flanders field and they were beautiful and moving. They learnt skills on how to perform a poem and then performed them infront of a small group and  posted these onto their SeeSaw accounts.
