In 4U today we have been designing and tie-dying our t-shirts. The children were really excited for this activity and absolutely loved getting creative (and a bit messy!) when dying their t-shirts. We started by planning out our design and looking at some examples. Next, we used elastic bands to create a pattern that stops the dye spreading and makes the tie-dye effect. Finally, we put on our gloves and aprons, and got messy applying the dye allover the t-shirts. They're in the washing machine at the moment and hopefully the children will be pleased with the result.
